Bible Studies and Peer Support Groups
The journey of military life brings joys and challenges. Emotional distresses, (such as PTSD), PCS moves, and deployment can complicate military family life. The effects are experienced not only by the service member but also their loved ones.
Current research findings suggest that military connected children have an increased risk for social, emotional, and behavioral problems.
Considering the recent changes in military culture there is much that needs to be undertaken towards the overall wellbeing of military families. Social support is instrumental for wives whose husbands have dealt with and continue to deal with PTSD and related emotional traumas. Social support additionally, can significantly bolster the overall wellbeing of military families during periods of transition.
Group studies are grounded in Biblical principles and rigorous research.
Each group provides a safe place to share your story, listen to others, learn from the Scriptures, receive affirmation, and learn about other resources towards your personal renewal.
Groups are open to wives of service members on an Active duty, reserved, or retired status. Each group study can be completed in 6 or 9-weeks.
